After Allison Ellis read Finding Our Words: Words That Made America with the students at Santiago Trade School in Orange County, CA earlier in June, a student there, Jarol, took to heart the message to go home and continue reading Finding Our Words together with his family.
Jarol later told Mark Pedilla, Head Master of Santiago Trade School, how much he and his siblings had enjoyed reading aloud together, and as a result, he found himself with an invitation not only to join Pedilla at the Adeodatus Annual Conference at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina, but was also invited by Ellis to speak to the attendees at the conference about his new-found appreciation of reading great works aloud with his family.
It was Jarol's first presentation of that kind, and now he has been invited to the Adeodatus 2026 conference to deliver his favorite American speech from Finding Our Words.
